About the conference
The 1st IEEE Industrial Electronics Africa Conference (IEEE IES Africa 2027) is the flagship regional event bringing together top researchers, academics, industry experts, and policymakers in industrial electronics, power and energy systems, automation, and control across the African continent and worldwide.
Technically and financially co-sponsored by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), the conference aims to foster interdisciplinary research, promote local and international collaboration, and showcase cutting-edge technological advancements driving sustainable industrialization, smart infrastructure, and clean energy transition throughout Africa.

Submission guidelines
- Language & format: Papers must be written in English and formatted strictly according to the standard IEEE two-column conference template.
- Page length: Submissions should be between 4 to 6 pages, including figures, tables, and references.
- Peer review: All submitted papers will undergo a double-blind peer-review process by an international committee of experts.
- Publication & indexing: Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore®, subject to meeting IEEE quality standards.
